50 Shades of Grey

If you haven't heard of 50 Shades of Grey you have been living under a rock.  I haven't read the book yet and frankly I don't know if I want to.  I don't think that would be something I am interested in, but I said the same thing about the Hunger Games and loved it.  Maybe I'll get around to it over the summer.  The book has caused a lot of controversy and is rumored to be very scandalous.

Keep on reading on!

  1. You're right; this book has been everywhere for the past month or two. I haven't read it either, and I don't think that I will. The author originally wrote "50 Shades" as Twilight fan-fiction (without the vampires) and that is part of what turned me off. I think it's very different from the Hunger Games, but all the controversy that it is getting is definitely adding to the book's publicity.

  2. I read this series and I have to say I absolutely loved it. It is so different from the Hunger Games, which I also read, so I cannot really compare them. But I loved FSOG. Everyone I know who has read it, including myself, is unsure of reading it but once they do they cannot put it down. It is such a page turner and I would suggest it to anyone at an appropriate age!

  3. I read this entire series within a week! It was sooooo excellent. It made me laugh and cry. Now that I’m not reading it I really miss the characters. Many reviews say that the books are poorly written, but I don’t think that I was looking to read the trilogy and expecting that. If I was I would have read Shakesphere or John Steinbeck, but that’s not what I was looking for. This story doesn’t need to be well written, Suzanne Collins gets the story across while being extremely clever and funny. Plus the crazy, totally inappropriate, and brilliant story made up for it.

  4. I just started reading this series on Friday, and I am already onto the second book! It's definetely not as bad/risque as people say it is. I am addicted, and the story-line is so intruiging and interesting. This is definetely a must read!
